There are a number of accommodation options for OCIS 2008 conference attendees:

OCIS 2008 will be held at St. Leo’s college on the St Lucia campus. As a residential college, St Leo’s has kindly agreed to let OCIS 2008 participants stay at the college during the conference at a discounted rate. There are over 100 Standard rooms with shared bathroom facilities available for AUD $44 per night, (normally $60). All rooms are available on a first come, first serve basis, and will be held for OCIS attendees to book until the end of April. After that date the college will make any unreserved rooms available to the general public. Contact details for booking and paying for a room with St Leo’s are on the form here. Credit Card payments can be made by fax of directly over the phone. 

OCIS 2008 delegates who would like to stay in downtown Brisbane (roughly 20 minutes from UQ St Lucia by river ferry) can stay at a discounted rate at the Brisbane Marriott Hotel. The Marriott has offered OCIS delegates a discount of 10% off their best available rate.As of December 7th, 2007, these rates are $280 on Wednesday the 2nd and Thursday the 3rd of July for a Deluxe City View Room (10% off = $252) and on Friday the 4th of July a rate of $235 for a Deluxe City View room (10% off = $211.50). All guests should be aware that these rates are the best available rates at this stage and are subject to change based on availability.
