UQ Neurosciences - About This Site

Neuroscience at University of Queensland involves around 100 researchers in 17 academic departments and research centres across 4 of the 7 UQ Faculties. At present, few centres or departments are devoted wholly to neuroscience, but the intention is to use this website as a basis for guiding the further coordination and development of multidisciplinary interactions in studies of the nervous system at UQ, in the interests of researchers, students and the community at large:

Researchers scattered across campus are presently learning more about each others' strengths and the website is expected to grow along with this process of coordination.
Students can see the large number of offerings in the various disciplines making up neuroscience at UQ. Using this guide, they can chart their own path toward a chosen end point in neuroscience that might embrace some combination of molecular, cellular, cognitive, computational, developmental and systems neuroscience.
Community members can see the range and depth of neuroscience topics available and provide feedback to the process of coordinating teaching and research in neuroscience.
