Professor Pettigrew

The Prime Ministerís Science, Engineering and Innovation Council (PMSEIC) has established a Working Group to report on the topic:

Brain-and-Mind Disorders:  The Contribution of the Neuroscience Revolution.

The Working Group will provide a presentation and report to the Council on 27 June 2003.

PMSEIC is a valued forum for presentation of independent views to the Prime Minister and his ministerial colleagues on the importance of science and technology to Australia, and working groups such as this one are the primary means by which PMSEIC achieves this.

The Working Group would specifically value a submission from you, or other input that you may like to make.   If you would like to make a contribution, could you please do so in the context of the terms of reference, and related to your specific research expertise and interests.  Terms of reference, and membership of the Working Group, are attached.

As the Working Group will need to consider submissions early in its deliberations, I would be most grateful if you could contribute your views by return e-mail by cob Wednesday 9 April or earlier.Ý
