What has been achieved so far

Since its conception in 2003, the NTRC has (in summary):
• Gained and maintained the commitment of all currently existing trauma registries across Australia and New Zealand for the development of a bi-national trauma registry.
• Published two annual reports of aggregate data from all the existing trauma registries on injury (ISS>15).
• Established a representative working party for the development of a bi-national minimum data set and data dictionary.
• Established a Research Collaboration and have begun work on the first study proposal looking at the development of Australian and New Zealand coefficients for TRISS.
• A manuscript on the NTRC has been published by the MJA. To view click here.
• Visits have been made and strong collaborative relationships have been established with the staff at the USA, Canadian, and German national trauma registries.
• The NTRC has been publicised at numerous national and international meetings, conferences, and workshops.
