Bond University has recently constructed an informal learning and recreational facility. This space encourages a form of socialisation that leads to the effective formation of teams and teamwork.

The Multimedia Learning Centre (MLC), will feature innovative learning technologies and attractive flexible furniture to meet a wide range of learning needs. This wireless space has tables with power for laptop users, group study tables with computers, independent study tables with computers as well as printing facilities. An area for more informal social learning will be located near to the main entrance of the MLC.

A large collaborative learning space will feature a wide screen Smart Board, document camera, videoconference camera and phone, as well as DVD playback and game consoles. Students will benefit from these innovations by being able to share their creations with others and display their productions as part of the Multimedia Gallery.

Evaluation of the space will be performed using surveys, the mechanics of which are still to be finalised.
