 Stephen Bigger


Professor Stephen W. Bigger received his PhD in 1984 from Melbourne University in the applied chemistry field of polymer photo-degradation and stabilization. He was appointed as a lecturer in physical chemistry in the School of Chemistry at MU before taking up an academic position at Victoria University in 1991. He has published over 140 papers and was Head, School of Molecular Sciences before taking up his current position of Associate Dean – Teaching and Learning in the Faculty of Health, Engineering and Science. His interest in learning spaces has developed through his involvement in the problem-based learning mode of delivery of engineering programs in his faculty.
