Hamilton is the Managing Director of Wilson Architects and a Fellow of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects. As a working architect he has extensive experience of delivering major projects to a variety of clients but especially in the higher education sector. Wilson Architects are focused on the design of university libraries and learning environments. Hamilton’s interest in the process of interaction of students and information has led him into creating design solutions that help meet student diversity in study behaviour.
Hamilton’s recent projects include; Refurbishment of the Duhig and Central Libraries at the University of Queensland; Concept design for the new library, Ipswich Campus, University of Queensland; QUT V Block – Library Planning Review; Collaborative Learning Centre, University of Queensland; G30 General Academic Building, Griffith University; Mayne Hall Art Museum, University of Queensland; Biological Sciences Library Refurbishment, University of Queensland; Deakin University Library Planning Review; Victoria University Learning Commons; McGill University Library Planning Review; and University of Sydney Central SciTech Library.
