Gail joined Bond University in early 2008 as Associate Professor in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and Manager, Teaching and Learning Services. Prior to joining Bond she worked as an academic developer at the University of Western Sydney, where she played a leadership role in the area of teaching portfolios, coordinator of the university's Foundations program for new teachers, and developed digital resources to support staff learning in these areas.
Gail's current research arising from her recently-completed doctorate focuses on academics’ use of information and communications technology in blended learning contexts, and the provision of professional development for academic staff for teaching and learning in the online environment. She is an active member of the
Foundations Colloquium group, and serves on the Steering Committee leading the Australian Learning & Teaching Council’s funded project
Preparing Academics to Teach in Higher Education (PATHE). Gail has been a member of the
HERDSA Executive since 2005 and led the establishment of the new HERDSA website launched earlier this year.
