Adrian Gallagher is a graduate of the University of Melbourne and RMIT with over 20 years of experience in academic and special libraries. He has recently worked as Manager of the RMIT Swanston Library and the Victorian Parliamentary Librarian. From 1999 to 2005 Adrian contributed to the large scale refurbishment of the RMIT Swanston Library to transform the facility from a traditional study hall to a technology rich and student centred space catering for a variety of learning styles. In July 2007, Adrian took up the position of Learning Commons Manager at Victoria University, where he is working on a range of projects including the creation of the Footscray Park Learning Commons due to be completed in early 2010.
