A stop-motion animation short film, The Enterprize Inventor, was commissioned for UQ Business School’s $100 000 business plan competition and released on YouTube this month.

Head of School Professor Tim Brailsford said it made sense to use innovative media channels to promote a competition like Enterprize.

“Enterprize is designed to support innovation and entrepreneurship and commissioning a short film directed and produced locally is another way the Business School can show its support,” he said.

“UQ Business School’s Enterprize competition gives $100 000 to a team with the best business plan and the best performance at the famous Enterprize Pitch Day each year."

The Enterprize Inventor was directed and produced by Tom Francis, from Kiln Media, in collaboration with Mules Film, an animation company.

Kiln Media is a company which fuses media with the arts and operates from the Kiln Art Gallery located at the Paddington Substation (www.kiln.com.au).

The film, The Enterprize Inventorm, may be viewed on YouTube.

Seven finalists pitched their winning business ideas to venture capitalists and the public at Enterprize Pitch Day on October 11 in Brisbane.
