Under the
Workplace Health and Safety Act, the University is obliged to provide staff with a safe working environment.
University employees also have an obligation to follow safe working procedures at all times, and to take all reasonable precautions to prevent personal injury or injury to others, and damage to plant and equipment.
Within the first week of your employment at the University, you will be informed of the UQ occupational health and safety policies and procedures and will be required to complete the
Workplace Health and Safety Induction Checklist.
