All staff, with the exception of casual staff, are issued with an official
University of Queensland account in the form of:
[username]@uq.edu.au
This email address is used by the University for the delivery of all
official email.
Casual staff must apply to their organisational unit for
a staff email account.
Other staff are issued with a UQ username and
password usually within one week of starting work.
Your username and
password allows access to your staff email account as well as a variety of
online facilities, including the UQ staff portal and wherever you see the
UQ Sign-In
logo.
Privacy
A staff member's name, organisational unit,
official email address and work telephone number are held in a central directory
and are available through a public search. No other information can be divulged
under current privacy legislation.
