Outlined below is the offer process for all international students, except those international students who have just completed Year 12 in Australia. Please go to this page if you have just completed year 12 in Australia.

If your application is successful you will receive an offer of admission to a program at The University of Queensland (UQ). The offer may be:

  • Unconditional; or
  • Conditional

The offer package
The offer package will contain the following documents:

Offer letter Read this carefully and note any instructions or special arrangements
UQ 'What to do next',  Accommodation,  and Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) information brochures Read these and use the information to make plans

Fee refund policy and grievance resolution procedures

Read and make sure you understand these
Agreement and Response to Offer (ARO) form Read, complete and sign (see below for more information

Accepting the offer
To accept your UQ offer, you must take the following steps:

  1. Return your signed Agreement and Response to Offer (ARO) form plus payment of your tuition fee deposit and Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) to the International Admissions Section. Your ARO form lists the available payment methods and the address details. If you have made your application to UQ through an authorised educational representative, return the signed ARO and payment to your representative.

     
  2. If you have been made a Conditional Offer, return any outstanding documentation to the International Admissions Section or to your agent as soon as possible.

     
  3. If all your offer conditions have been met, a Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) will be lodged electronically with your nearest Australian Diplomatic Mission. We will send you a copy of the eCoE, which you must submit to the Australian Diplomatic Mission to apply for a student visa.

After you accept your offer you will receive an Acceptance pack containing:

Keep this and bring it with you to UQ
Confirmation of enrolment (CoE)
 
Use this to apply for your visa
Customs and Quarantine brochures
