If you select the deferred HECS-HELP payment option or apply for FEE-HELP, you must provide a Tax File Number (TFN). If you do not have a TFN, or do not know it, you have until the student census date to provide it or your enrolment will be cancelled.

You can apply for a TFN at your nearest Tax Office or get a form from a student centre. If you apply for a TFN less than 10 days before the student census date, the Tax Office may issue you with an interim certificate. The University will only use your TFN to advise the Tax Office of your HECS-HELP, FEE-HELP, or OS-HELP debt.
