 Steps to be completed by international students on arrival at UQ


  1. Attend a compulsory ‘Getting Started’ session. You do not need to pre-book, just arrive by 9.00am. If you are unable to attend a ‘Getting Started’ session, you should make an appointment to see an International Student Advisor.

     
  2. Attend an ‘Accommodation Information’  session (St Lucia campus only), following the ‘Getting Started’ session

     
  3. Visit the Student Centre to organise your OSHC card, and to pick up your UQ internet user ID and password which you will need to enrol and to access a suite of UQ portals.

     
  4. Attend the ‘Academic Preparation Program’

     
  5. Attend ‘International Student Orientation’ and faculty advising sessions - see the full Orientation website for details of the faculty advising sessions

     
  6. Enrol  in your courses

     
  7. Obtain your student card

     
  8. Pay any tuition fee balance owing by the due date.

     
  9. Enjoy your time at UQ!
