  • If your enrolment load across the whole enrolment period is less than 6 units (#) the SSAF across the whole enrolment period will add up to a maximum of $98. Please see examples here.
  • If you pay a full-time SSAF ($131) for the Semester 1 enrolment period and a full-time SSAF ($131) for the Semester 2 enrolment period, you will not be charged the SSAF for enrolment in the Summer Semester enrolment period, as the maximum annual SSAF in 2012 is $262 ($131 + $131).

**External enrolment:

  • Regardless of whether you are enrolled full-time or part-time, as long as you are only enrolled in externally offered courses you will be charged a maximum of $49 for an enrolment period.
  • If you subsequently enrol in a course that is offered internally, you will no longer be considered external and your fee will be determined according to your enrolment load across the whole enrolment period, i.e. your SSAF liability for the enrolment period will be as per an internal enrolment.

***Trimesters (UQ College only):

  • If you are enrolled full-time in Trimester 1 ($131) and full-time in Trimester 2 ($131) you will not be charged the SSAF in Trimester 3, as the maximum annual SSAF you can be charged in 2012 is $262 ($131 + $131).
  • If you are enrolled part-time in Trimester 1 ($98) and part-time in Trimester 2 ($98), and then enrol in Trimester 3, you will be charged $66, as the maximum annual SSAF you can be charged in 2012 is $262 ($98 + $98 + $66).

Students enrolled in more than one program/career in 2012
If you are enrolled in more than one program/career in the same enrolment period, you will be charged separately for each program to a maximum of $131 for the enrolment period. For example, if you are enrolled part-time in an undergraduate program in Semester 1 you will be charged $98. If you are also enrolled part-time in a postgraduate program in Semester 1, you will be charged $33, as the maximum amount you can be charged for an enrolment period is $131 ($98 + $33).

Domestic Research Higher Degree students
Domestic Research Higher Degree students are exempt from all enrolment-related charges. An amount for the provision of support services will be apportioned by the University to the pool of funds required to fund student services and amenities on behalf of domestic PhD and MPhil students, so no additional payment is required.
