Dual programs

Dual programs are available in several areas.  Please click here for application procedures for dual degree programs.

Supplementary examinations

Supplementary examinations are available to students enrolled in programs administered by the Faculty of Biological and Chemical Sciences only where a student is eligible under the ‘completion of degree' provision of General Award Rule 1A.13.  You will find a link to the General Award Rule on the University Rules page. Once you have accessed that page, scroll down to Part 1A - Assessment.

Interruption to studies
Once you have enrolled and successfully completed one course from Part A of the Bachelor of Science (BSc) rules, you have secured your place in the program. If you later decide to take a break from study, you can do so without applying for a formal interruption. Simply drop any course in which you are enrolled and email the Faculty to let them know you are interrupting your study. When you wish to return, visit a student centre or contact the Faculty prior to the start of semester and enrol by the due date.  For the due dates, please see the Important dates  page on the Starting at UQ website. For a full listing of all official university dates relating to students, please refer to the Academic calendar, or, for Summer semester dates, please refer to the Summer semester important dates page.

Academic Progression: Show cause application
You can apply to show cause why your enrolment should not be cancelled under the Enrolment and Academic Progression Rules. You may be required to attend an interview. Further information on academic standing and application procedures are outlined here on this website.   You will find a link to the Enrolment and Academic Progression Rules on the University Rules page.
