An on-line service is provided free-of-charge to assist with verification of claims to academic qualifications conferred by UQ. This service ensures that UQ graduates can be identified quickly and efficiently.
The service can be used to verify qualifications awarded by The University, including those awarded by the Queensland Agricultural College prior to 1990.
Data regarding graduates who have recently had their degree conferred or diploma or certificate granted is uploaded following this schedule:

Under the University's privacy policy, the University is only permitted to provide information concerning past or present students deemed to be on the public record. Information is restricted to the degree awarded and the conferral date. Personal information may only be disclosed to third parties with the written consent of the student.
To ensure requests are made for bona fide reasons, service users are asked to enter information about themselves. Information is not made public and is used and stored in accordance with The University’s Privacy Policy.
To use the online service, you will be asked to provide the following information:
- Details of company requesting verification
- Student’s full name
- Date of birth
If a result is not returned, you will be prompted to complete an online request form. If this search is required you may be asked to also provide:
- Date of birth
- Student number (if known)
- Degree/s to be confirmed and
- Date of degree conferral or years of attendance
