Welcome to new students of The University of Queensland

This site brings together all the information you need to know about getting started at UQ once you have received your offer including:

• How to go about accepting your offer and a step-by-step Enrolment guide
  
  
• IT essentials at UQ -  how to choose your courses, check your timetable and get your student ID
  
  
• UQ services to get you started, including our Student Services which provide academic help and other assistance, Accommodation Services plus information on the Library, Bookshop and transport options

Make sure you also take a look at our Orientation Week website. Orientation Week (14 – 18 July, 2008) is designed to assist new students to settle into university life at UQ. During O-Week there will be a Market Day on Wednesday 23 July where you can sign up to join any of the Student Clubs and Societies and enjoy some free entertainment.

You may like to sign up for the ‘New to UQ’ Information Sessions happening across the St Lucia, Ipswich and Gatton campuses. There will also be campus tours running at each of the campuses.

Student Services produce a guide for UQ international students which covers topics such as studying at UQ, living in Queensland through to completing your studies and returning home. View the guide
