• The principles and procedures for dealing with student misconduct and discipline are found in the University of Queensland policy Student integrity and Misconduct (PPL 3.60.04)
   
• Misconduct includes behaviour which impairs others' pursuit of University activities, hinders the pursuit of academic excellence (for example, cheating) or the improper use of University facilities.
   
• Included in the policy are the procedures for investigating and assessing possible cases of misconduct, the jurisdiction and penalty powers of decision-makers and the consequent penalties for proven misconduct.
