You may apply for special arrangements for your examinations if a specific religious belief will prevent you sitting an examination at the scheduled time. The following procedure applies to all examinations:
- Complete a Request for special arrangements for exams form (PDF) or (Word) and submit it to a Student Centre or email to:
- examinations@uq.edu.au (St Lucia and Ipswich campuses) or
- exams@uqg.uq.edu.au (Gatton campus)
- Obtain a letter of support from your place of worship and forward the original letter with the Request for Special Arrangements form to the Examinations Section or a Student Centre
- You will be sent an arrangement form to your student email account advising the revised details of your examinations. This form acts as an official agreement between the student and the University.
- The University’s General Award Rules (GAR 1A) require that students must apply at least 14 days before the relevant examination period for special arrangements to be made. (You will find a link to the General Award Rule on the University Rules page. Once you have accessed that page, scroll down to Part 1A - Assessment.)
-
If you are unable to attend an examination, telephone the relevant Examinations Section not less than 3 hours prior to the arranged starting time of the examination:
- St Lucia campus and UQ Ipswich Telephone: (07) 3365 2488
- UQ Gatton Examinations Telephone: (07) 5460 1126
Please note: Special arrangements will not be made if applications are not received at least 14 days prior to the relevant examination period.
