Many course codes have changed from 2005 as a result of the higher education reforms. For example, BSAC1101 has become ACCT1101. Click here for more information and to access the conversion tables.
For some programs there are compulsory courses in which you must enrol. However, in many programs you may be required to select a few, or even all, of your courses. In some programs you may be required to take a placement course consisting of a period of practical, work-related experience.
All University of Queensland programs are governed by program rules. These rules detail the specific requirements needed to complete your degree. To see the rules for your program go to the Courses and programs website, search for your program and then go to the program list and rules located near the bottom of the page
Use the Course search facility on the Programs and Courses website to find information on individual courses. Most course pages will link to a detailed description of the course, the Course Profile, which includes course aims and objectives, teaching, learning and assessment activities, and required and recommended resources.
You will also find official course lists under the Information for current students or Program requirements links for each program on the Programs and courses website.
Some faculty or school websites may also have course information for the programs they co-ordinate.
You are encouraged to consult the Academic Advisors in your faculty or school for further help with choosing your courses.
