Program planning
Specific academic advice is available to  undergraduate students at the respective Faculty Offices at either the St Lucia (39A) [See map],  or UQ Ipswich campus (12) [See map]. Postgraduate students should seek advice from the relevant school office. Links and contact details for school inquiries can be found at the end of the Faculty entry, under Subsections in the faculties, schools and centres database.

Advice on program planning should be requested only after consulting the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law Undergraduate website Current students pages.  Students should also refer to these online resources: the Programs and courses website and mySI-net

A  faculty academic administrative officer can assist with matters including graduation checks, credit requests and applications for cross-institutional study.

Dual programs

Dual programs are available for many undergraduate programs.

  • Domestic students: Students wishing to apply for a dual degree click here.

Domestic students wishing to do a dual degree with the LLB must first obtain a quota place in the LLB through QTAC.

  • International students: If you are interested in studying a dual program you should fill in a Program Change Request Form stating your request to change program.  This form is available at the Student Centre or the Faculty Office at either the St Lucia or Ipswich Campus.  You will be informed of the decision in writing and via e-mail to your student e-mail.
Mathematics Entry Requirement
From 2008 the mathematic pre-requisite for the Bachelor of Business Management (BBusMan), Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), and the Bachelor of Economics (BEcon) programs is successful completion of four semesters of Queensland Year 12 Mathematics B (or equivalent). Students who have not met this pre-requisite (but who meet the entry rank and English pre-requisite) are advised to study the Bachelor of Business program and complete the course MATH1040. Once MATH1040 is successfully completed, a program change request can be made for the BBusMan, BCom or BEcon provided the minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) is met. MATH1040 cannot be granted as credit towards the BBusMan, BCom or BEcon.
