Only Australian citizens or holders of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa are eligible for a FEE-HELP loan.
If you wish to defer your tuition fees through FEE-HELP you must submit a 'Request for FEE-HELP Assistance' form. The forms are available from your home page in mySI-net via your 'Financial' link.
There is a FEE-HELP loan fee of 20% for undergraduate programs.
How do I apply?
- You can submit your FEE-HELP Assistance form online via your home page on mySI-net. (Print forms are also available from the Student Centre).
- Click on your 'Financial ' link and then the FEE-HELP eCAF link.
- Applications must be received by the Census date.
- Only one application is required per program and a new form will only be required if you change program (e.g. from the Grad Dip Arts to the Master of Arts).
- To obtain a FEE-HELP loan, you must provide your Tax File Number (TFN) or a Certificate of Application for a TFN.
What are my FEE-HELP options?
In any given semester, with FEE-HELP approval, you have three options:
- Use the FEE-HELP loan to cover the full tuition fee
- Use the FEE-HELP loan to cover part of the tuition fee and pay the balance upfront (minimum payment $500)
- Don't use FEE-HELP for any of the tuition fee, instead paying the full amount upfront
