An on-line service is provided free-of-charge to assist with verification of claims to academic qualifications conferred by The University of Queensland. This service ensures that UQ graduates can be identified quickly and efficiently.

The service can be used to verify qualifications awarded by the University, including those awarded by the Queensland Agricultural College prior to 1990.

Under the University's privacy policy, the University can provide the following information as it is a matter of public record:

• That an individual student has been conferred an award
• The name of award (not including majors or fields of study)

To ensure requests are made for bona fide reasons, service users are asked to enter information about themselves. Information is not made public and is used and stored in accordance with The University’s Privacy Policy.

To use the online service, you will be asked to provide the following information:

• Details of company requesting verification
• Student’s full name
• Date of birth

If a result is not returned, you will be prompted to complete an online request form. If this search is required you may be asked to also provide:

• Date of birth
• Student number (if known)
• Degree/s to be confirmed and
• Date of degree conferral or years of attendance

A result may not be returned for numerous reasons, as some student’s may have the same surname and date of birth, there is an error in name or date of birth or the student has not been conferred an award from the University.

If you require information in addition to the above information, a $30 charge applies along with written consent of the person whose details you are verifying. Please complete the manual verification form (PDF), and email, fax or post your request to:
