About UQ programs and courses

The Courses and programs website  is the official listing of all programs and courses offered at UQ.

At UQ, a program is a sequence of study leading to the award of a qualification such as a bachelor degree, graduate diploma or coursework masters.

A course, usually called a subject at secondary school, is a distinct unit of study within a program, normally undertaken over one semester. Therefore, a program consists of many courses.

Online help with your course selection

You can browse and/or search the programs available at UQ on the Programs and courses website. Each undergraduate program listing includes a selected list of first year courses, and a link to the official list of courses for that program.

You can also search for courses (subjects) on the Programs and courses website, using a variety of parameters to enhance your search. Most course pages will link to a detailed description of the course, the Course Profile, which includes course aims and objectives, teaching, learning and assessment activities, and required and recommended resources.

More information about course selection can be found on the Choosing courses page in the main section of MyAdvisor.

How to calculate your course fees
On the Programs and courses website, you will also find a link to the  Fees calculator which enables you to work out the cost of your chosen courses.
