FAQs on Higher Education Reforms
Australian Government website for higher education students

From January 1, 2005, the Commonwealth Government will implement a new system of funding and administration for higher education.

The UQ Higher Education Reforms website provides information to help prospective students, current students, staff and the broader community understand the main changes.

Most of the changes apply to domestic students and include a new Higher Education Loan Programme (HELP), new scholarships, new student contribution amounts, and full-fee paying places for all undergraduate programs. Information is being added and updated as it becomes available.
