Associate Professor Felicity Baker is an ARC Future Fellow and researcher in the area of Music Therapy.
Associate Professor Felicity Baker holds a Bachelor and Masters degree in music therapy from the University of Melbourne and a PhD from Aalborg University Denmark.
Baker is the editor of the Australian Journal of Music Therapy and serves on the editorial board of the Nordic Journal of Music Therapy.
In 2008, Felicity was awarded a 2008 University of Queensland Foundation Excellence in Research Award, and a Faculty of Arts Citation Award for outstanding contributions to enhanced student learning. In 2009 she received an Australian Award for University Teaching from the ALTC. In 2010 she was awarded an ARC Future Fellowship for her project What’s in the Music? A lifespan model of emotional and musical creativity in therapeutic song writing.
Baker has research interests in music and mood; music preference and diagnosis; songwriting; and music therapy in neurorehabilitation.
