Marxan with Zones Software

When you download Marxan with Zones you will receive the following files:

1. MarZone.exe (the Marxan with Zones program executable)

2. Inedit.exe (a program that allows you to easily generate the Input Parameter File – the file that controls how Marxan with Zones works)

3. input.dat (an example Input Parameter File)

4. A folder labelled 'Sample', containing examples of the other input files used to run Marxan with Zones (the details of these files are explained in the user manual).

5. The Marxan with Zones user manual and a user guide

Note to Marxan with Zones users:
Some users have experienced issues when attempting to use zone contribution and zone targets in the same project.   The issues can be easily diagnosed because negative penalties are reported in the log and summary files.  UQ is currently working to correct these issues.  If you noticed negative penalties in any Marxan with Zones project, we suggest that you discontinue the simultaneous use of both files (zone contribution and zone target), and report the issue to UQ.  Thank you for helping as we develop this software!
