Directions to UQ Ipswich
By Car
The Ipswich campus is located near the intersection of Salisbury and Warwick roads, on Map 233 D1 of the UBD Brisbane "Refidex" Street Directory. From Brisbane, Take the Ipswich Motorway. Follow the 'Warwick' road. Take the Swanbank turnoff and turn right at the STOP sign into South Station Road. Following South Station Road along to the roundabout near the Brothers Leagues Club, turn left at the roundabout (Leagues Club on your left) into Robertson Road. Following Robertson Road to the T intersection, turn left and then quick right into Salisbury Road (velodrome and netball courts on your right hand side). Follow Salisbury Road down to large roundabout and go through the roundabout (showgrounds on left hand side). Campus in front of you - building 1 on your right facing the campus - parking is now in "pink" zones at cost of $1.30 per day. This cost applies to all casual parking zones.
By Inter-campus Bus
The Ipswich Campus Express Bus runs regularly between the St Lucia and Ipswich campuses. The bus departs the St Lucia campus from Chancellor's Place at 7:45am, and 4:15pm daily. It departs the Ipswich campus from the Bus Stop at 8:45am and 5:00pm daily.
The trip between campuses takes 45 minutes and costs $3. The service does not operate on public or university holidays.
By Train
Trains from Brisbane Central to Ipswich run every 30 minutes, and a bus service connects the station and the campus. There are also bus-rail coordinated services to and from Toogoolawah and Rosewood stations. An integrated ticketing system has been established to assist students and staff. By Bicycle
The Ipswich campus is just 1.5 km from the Ipswich Central Business District, so it is an easy ride on roads which were recently improved to increase cycling safety and convenience. You can leave your bicycle in a locker at the train station overnight, and there are secure bicycle parking facilities on campus.
