SCHOOL OF PSYCHOLOGY
The School of Psychology is seeking applications for two 5-year fixed-term Lecturer (level B) positions. The successful appointees will be expected to contribute to the teaching of research methodology at undergraduate level, to teach at undergraduate or postgraduate level in social psychology, applied psychology, or health psychology, to pursue a strong and productive program of research, and to supervise honours and postgraduate research theses in psychology. The School of Psychology is one of the largest and most prestigious schools of psychology in Australia. It is internationally recognised for research strengths across the breadth of psychology.
The role The successful appointee will be expected to pursue a strong and productive program of research, to contribute to teaching in the School, including at least one undergraduate research methods course and selected teaching in their area of research expertise, and to supervise honours and postgraduate coursework and research theses. Consideration will be given to the extent to which the applicant’s research profile complements the existing research strengths of the School as a whole.
The person Applicants should possess a PhD in social, applied or health psychology or a closely related discipline, an established research track record, excellent teaching skills, and the capacity both to develop a strong and productive research program and to attract postgraduate research students.
Remuneration This is a 5-year fixed-term, full-time, appointment at Academic Level B. The remuneration package will be in the range $70,968 to $84,275 per annum plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.
