- To advise and report on such matters as may be referred to it from time to time by the Vice-Chancellor.
- To make recommendations to the Vice-Chancellor on plans, policies, structures and investment requirements which:
- are related to the development and maintenance of a communication and information technology infrastructure and information services provision at a leading level within the Australian higher education system;
- are capable of implementation to support the University's operational priorities to support teaching and learning, research and research training, management of resources and community partnerships as outlined in the University's Strategic Plan;
- have regard to the Equity Plan; and
- which represent a University-wide approach achieved through advice and consultation.
- To review and revise existing IT policies as required over time.
