TOURS & INFORMATION SESSIONS FOR NEW STUDENTS
Over the next month, the Ipswich Campus will host free tours of campus facilities and buildings for prospective students, their families and friends, and interested members of the public. New students enrolling in 2007 are also encouraged to attend a New to UQ information session before taking the tour. The information sessions are designed to allow students the opportunity to learn more about UQ and university life and familiarise themselves with the Campus prior to the commencement of semester one. INTERCAMPUS BUS REDUCES SUMMER VACATION SERVICES
A reduced-services timetable will operate for the intercampus bus service during the 2006-07 vacation period.

CONGRATULATIONS TO YUNXIA ZHU OF THE UQBS
Yunxia Zhu of UQ Business School won the Distinguished Publication Award by the Association for Business Communication (ABC) in 2006 for her book Written Communication across Cultures published by John Benjamins in 2005. This award is the highest and also the most competitive ABC award and was announced at the 71st Annual Convention, San Antonio, Texas on October 27, 2006.
CONGRATULATIONS TO STACEY MURRIN
Congratulations to Stacey Murrin, Finance Officer from the Pro-Vice-Chancellor’s Office, on the arrival of her baby girl “Eva Grace”, born January 19 at 10:25pm weighing 8lb 3oz. A sister for Alexa. Congratulations!
