The University of Queensland Ipswich Campus takes pride in providing a world-class education facility with strong community links. An integral part of these links has been in gaining local community and UQ support and sponsorship for community space on the Campus.

The Boilerhouse facility was refurbished by the University in 2006 with support from Ipswich City Council, Wingate Properties and Bendigo Bank. The refurbishment included designated space to be used for community groups to come together to meet and engage in a variety of community activities on the Campus.
