Students at The University of Queensland Ipswich Campus are eagerly waiting announcements of the successful recipients of the 2006 scholarships at the Ipswich Campus.
Over $40,000 is available to students at the Campus as part of its scholarship scheme.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor Ipswich Professor Alan Rix said the date of scholarship applications closed last week, and the Campus was very happy with the number of submissions received.
He said the Campus was currently reviewing the applications and shortlisted applicants would be contacted within the next few weeks to meet with selection committees.
He praised local businesses and organizations within the region for their support in allowing the Campus to award the scholarships to Ipswich students.
“It is this level of support which places the Campus in the opportune position of boasting strong links with the local community which has resultant benefits for our students,” Professor Rix said.
“We thank these businesses and organizations for their ongoing commitment to the Campus and our students.”
