As most first year university students do, I enrolled in a Business degree with no idea of what I wanted to get out of the course as I had no immediate career path planned. As it turned out I chose my course wisely studying a major in Leisure Management. I have never looked back! The course was structured in a way that now allows me to apply for a wide array of professional positions. I am currently working as the Marketing Coordinator of Brisbane Turf Club and I love it!
The academic and administrative staff at UQ Ipswich provide an outstanding supportive network for students ... both present and past! I highly commend UQ Ipswich for its alternative and flexible approach to tertiary education allowing students to achieve an ultimate goal whilst thoroughly enjoying the journey.
Graeme Kan, Bachelor of Business
I've found the facilities and teaching style at UQI to be second-to-none.
The lecturers have a real interest in the subjects they teach and the smaller class sizes allow for better interaction between students and academic staff. One thing I really enjoy is the hands on experience you get in some subjects where you actually plan and run an event which gives you a sense of ownership and accomplishment.
The facilities at UQI are fantastic. The number of computers and AV equipment really makes it a campus for the 21st Century. The online facilities and Web-CT is an essential tool which makes things so much easier!
Eleanor Cappa, Bachelor of Contemporary Studies
I have been at UQ Ipswich for nearly two years now and I enjoy the intimate and friendly atmosphere. The staff are committed and helpful and the Ipswich community are supportive of the campus and students. There is an abundance of modern resources and students can study in the new library which has its own garden and stream!
Sarah Davey, Bachelor of Contemporary Studies (Honours)
As a student at Univesity of Queensland Ipswich Campus, I have been given opportunities that I couldn't have had at a larger campus. With smaller numbers attending the uni, I received greater support from staff during my studies, with access to all of the facilities that the univesity has to offer. Attending UQ Ipswich also gave me the chance to make great friends, and not be lost in a crowd.
Michelle Ooi, Bachelor of Business Communication
I'm currently studying for my Bachelor of Business Communication at UQ Ipswich. The Ipswich campus is new and modern with up-to-date technology and facilities, and all the lecturers and staff are really friendly, helpful and attentive. I've gotten to meet people from all over the world, and look forward to meeting many more.
