To help them in their academic and personal lives, students at UQ Ipswich have access to a range of support services offered by the University and the Student Union.
The Ipswich Campus Equity and Diversity Committee aims to address equity and diversity issues at the Campus for both staff and students. It encourages and oversees the development and implementation of specific equity and diversity programs and strategies.
The Student Union Ipswich Office has a 24-hour lounge available for students and is responsible for supporting and representing the needs of students at the Ipswich Campus. The Office is open Tuesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the Ipswich Advocate is available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday . For appointments with the Advocate, students should phone our Admin Office on 3381-1063 or email the Advocate. The Union also runs the Campus Café, which provides a range of food, drinks and stationery supplies, with licensed bar facilities at specified times.
A doctor is on campus, as well as a fulltime nurse to provide assistance and advice on a range of health matters.
Assistance for students is available in areas including finance, learning support, disability, careers counselling and employment, personal counselling and support for international students through Student Services. In addition, students can seek advice and support from the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies Unit, Chaplaincy and Equity Office.
UQ Sport has a variety of sporting facilities on campus, including a large multipurpose court, an oval, full cardio-gym, and aerobics, fitness and well-being classes.
The UniSafe program provides a 24-hour security presence, emergency call points and a service to escort people around the campus after dark.
Postboxes and an automatic teller machine are also available for use by students.

Information Technology Services provides and maintains computing services at the Ipswich Campus including IT, Internet and Audio Visual support services. This includes desktop support, accounts and passwords for Internet, email, dialin access, my.UQ, mySI-net and WebCT.
