Scholarship Rules

Purpose:
Up to a maximum of four scholarships will be awarded to encourage students with high academic achievement to enter the Bachelor of Business program.

Eligibility:
Australian or international students admitted to the Bachelor of Business for the first time in Semester 2, 2007 or Semester 1, 2008. Only students who complete the application form will be considered.

Criteria for award:
Year 12 overall position (OP) or equivalent (for international students) and overall suitability based upon written application and interview. The Scholarship Selection Committee upholds the right to award less than four scholarships for the Bachelor of Business, or no scholarships if the Committee deems fewer suitable applicants are available.

Awarded by:
Heads, UQ Business School and School of Tourism

Value of the award:
Each scholarship is worth $1500 per year. The $1500 is contributed directly by the Schools to the student’s HECS or tuition fee expenses.

Conditions of the award:
The scholarship recipients must:
• maintain full-time enrolment in the Bachelor of Business; and
• obtain a grade of at least 4 in all courses of their program.
