Library

A rainforest garden with a river winds through the centre of the award-winning library building on the Ipswich Campus. Designed to optimise the learning environment, this garden separates the quiet side of the library from the open precinct with its computer desks and group study spaces. It also creates fantastic air quality throughout the library.

A hub to student life on campus Building 8 houses not only the library, but also the Student Centre, Information Technology Services, Student Support, Health Service, The Equity Office, The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies Unit, Multi-faith Service, Office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor and Café 8. 

The Library building has won awards, including the 2003 ALIA Excellence Award for Building Design and Service Delivery, and the 2004 Australian Timber Design Award.
