Notes:

Induction and Cancellation Forms

All new staff who commence at Ipswich Campus are required to have an IT induciton.This induction ensures new staff receive access to their Ipswich shares drives, printers and email distribution lists. As part of the induciton, and IT technician will visit the new staff member to ensure this access is correctly set up for their computer.

To request an induction the department's administrative officer must submit a signed Induction form (see above) to the ITS Client Liaison Officer.

Similarly, when a staff member leaves Ipswich campus a Cancellation form must be submitted to remove the staff member's access to the Ipswich resources. This ensures the staff member is no longer receiving irrelavent emails, while ensures the security of the department's data. 

To request a cancellation, an ITS Cancellation Form (see above) should be submitted.

Please note: if a staff member moves departments within Ipswich campus, an Induction forms must be submitted by their new department, and a Cancellation form by their old department. This allows us to ensure the staff member can access the correct network shares and printers.

Staff Internet Access

The Staff Internet Access for is required to provide a UQ username and password for unpaid staff. These include adjunct or honorary lecturers, staff visiting from other institutions and volunteer staff and those.

As these staff fo not appear int he Aurion HR system, their UQ username and password has to be created manually.

To request an account a Staff Internet Access form is required to be completed and submitted.

Business Affiliate Staff Internet 

Business affiliates based at Ipswich campus are required to purchase an Network and Internet account for their staff. The cost of these accounts depends on the amount of monthly download quota requested. Businesses can also select a email address which corresponds with their domain name, ie j.smith@yourbusiness.com.au,

Accounts are purchased via the submission of a completed Business Affiliate Staff Internet form. For more information on Business Affiliate accounts can be found here.

UQ Hosted Server Acount

Hosted Server accounts provide a team with a generic username and password for the purposes of logging into the computer, providing a shared email address or a shared calendar. Please note: under UQ Policy these accounts are cannot be provided with Internet download quota.
