- Usernames and passwords
Usernames are automatically generated when you start studying at UQ. Your username and password will be posted to you. If you haven't received your username or require a password reset please contact the HelpDesk. You can also change your password yourself to ensure your password stays secure through the myUQ website. (Go to Personalise then choose myDetails)
- Security questions
If you ever have to contact the HelpDesk or ITS Ipswich about your account you will be required to verify your identity via your security question and answer. A well thought out question can greatly enhance your online security. You can set your security question by going to the UQconnect page.
- Email
All students have an email address with 50MB of mail storage. You can access this by logging into https://my.uq.edu.au/. Under the personalise tab in my.uq.edu.au you can also reset your password, setup mail forwarding and change email preferences.
If you would like to use an email program, such as Outlook Express, you can find the guides on the HelpDesk page (bottom of page).
- Home drive (H: drive) access
All students have a personal storage or home (H:) drive at Ipswich campus with a 500MB limit that can be accessed from both home and university. To setup H drive access from home you will need to map a connection to H drive on your computer.
