 Getting to Ipswich

The UQ Ipswich campus at 11 Salisbury Road, Ipswich, is conveniently located for local students and for those from Brisbane's western suburbs and the Lockyer and Fassifern Valleys. The 25-hectare site is less than two kilometres from the Ipswich central business district and a 35-minute drive from the St Lucia campus (40 minutes from the Brisbane central business district). It is readily accessible by public transport from the Western suburbs and offers convenience, accessibility and time incentives for students and staff who don't have to travel through peak hour traffic.

The best way to get to the campus from Brisbane is via Ipswich Road into the Ipswich central business district (Ipswich Road becomes Limestone Street upon arrival at the CBD). Turn left at the intersection of Gordon and Limestone streets and follow the signs along Warwick Road to get to the Ipswich Campus.

Alternatively, you can travel along the Cunningham Highway, exiting at the Swanbank exit and crossing back over the Highway to follow South Station Road, Robertson Road, Chermside Road and then Salisbury Road. Entry to the campus is via Salisbury Road.

If travelling from Toowoomba, take the Ipswich exit off the Toowoomba Highway, go through the Ipswich CBD and head south along Warwick Road. Turn right at the roundabout intersecting Warwick and Salisbury roads.
