Dual Programs
What is a Dual Program?
A dual program is a combination of two UQ degrees undertaken at the same time. (At other institutions, dual programs may be known as parallel degrees, combined degrees or double degrees.)
Advantages of Dual Programs
By enrolling in a dual program, a student may be able to complete two degrees more quickly than if they completed one program and then started a second program. Generally, a dual program takes only one to two years longer to complete than the longer of the two programs on its own. Every dual program is different so check the program carefully prior to applying to make sure you will personally benefit from the extra study involved.
Applying for Entry to Dual Programs
To apply for a dual degree program, you should follow the steps for applying as prescribed for a current Year 12 student or a non-school leaver. For more information you should consult the UQ Programs and Courses website.
