What is a Dual Program?
A dual program is a combination of two UQ programs undertaken at the same time. (At other institutions, dual programs may be known as 'parallel degrees', 'combined degrees' or 'double degrees'.)
Why Study a Dual Program?
A dual program gives students more flexibility to study several areas of interest at once and broadens career opportunities. Graduates have a competitive edge in the workplace due to the additional skills acquired through a dual program.
Advantages of Dual Programs
By enrolling in a dual program, a student completes two programs more quickly than if they completed one program and then studied for the second program. Generally, a dual program takes only one to two years longer to complete than the longer of the two programs on its own.
