David will follow up on his 2005 public lecture at Ipswich - Whitewashing Australia: Combating Racism in the Twenty-First Century. David is the author of the standard text, Race and Racism in Australia (3rd edn, 2006) and numerous publications on Indigenous studies, Australian racism and anti-racist strategies. He also won the NSW Premier’s Young People’s History Prize (2004) for the book They Took the Children, which last year was distributed to all 55 schools in Darwin to mark Sorry Day.
