Computer Lab Resources

This page briefly lists the resources located in each of the Ipswich computer labs.  

Building 8 - The Library

Level 2:

  • eZone 1 - 20 PC computers with  DVD burners and 21 inch screens & 1 Lectern PC with data projector, video/dvd player
  • eZone 2 - 95 PC computers with  DVD  burners and 21 inch screens 
  • eZone 3 - 20 PC computers with DVD burners & 1 Lectern PC with data projector, video/dvd player
  • 5 computer booths (seats 4) with power for laptops/phones, dvd drives not accessible 
  • 1 data projectors with facilities for connecting laptops
  • 2 large LCD screens with facilities for connecting laptops (group usage)
  • 15 roaming ports - you can connect your own laptop to the UQ network
  • 2 network multifunction printers, 1 express colour copier/scanner, 1 flatbed scanner
  • 8 macbook air Dual Boot (Mac OS/ Windows 7) for day loan with wireless connection capability  
  • 4 express library catalogue PCs - fur public access
  • Cafe 8 open from 8-11am

Level 3:

  • 44 PC computers with DVD burners and 21 inch screens available to all students
  • 17 PCs with DVD burner, 19 inch monitors in quiet study area with lockable drawers - key available for loan from library {post grad students priority}
  • 1 network multifunction printer, 1flatbed scanner
  • 2 study rooms, with 24 inch monitor and Windows 7
  • 1 Accessibility study room with disability software (Zoom Text and Dragon Naturally Speaking v7) & 1 flatbed scanner, microphone, speakers and text amplifier 
  • 2 group study rooms (8 people max) with LCD monitors for PC or personal laptop, DVD player whiteboard
  • 1 group study room (8 people max) with LCD monitors for PC or personal laptop, video, Portable video/TV-DVD player, whiteboard
  • Multimedia room - 1 PC computer with DVD burner, 1 Mac computer, stereo system, cassette, radio and karaoke
  • Seminar room - 1 PC with DVD burner and 21 inch screen, 1 iMac computer (Mac OS/ Windows 7), stereo system, cassette, radio and karaoke, whiteboard
  • Conference room - 1 Lectern comptuer with peronal laptop connectivity, data projector, interactive whiteboard, DVD / Video player, 1 dual LCD screen video conference suite 

Building 12

Level 2:

  • Room 207 - 6 PC computers {24 hr lab}
  • Room 208 - 22 PC computers, 1 data projector 
  • Room 209 - 25 iMac computers (dual boot to Windows), 1 data projector 
  • Room 210 - 25 iMac computers (dual boot to Windows), 1 data projector 
  • 1 Network printer
  • Wireless access points - coverage to level 2 & 3


Building 1

Level 2

  • Room 210 – 20 PC computers, 1 data projector 

Level 3

  • Room 366 - 20 PC computers, 1 data projector, 1 network printer 
  • Wireless access points - coverage to level 2 & 3
