About Ipswich

In sport, Ipswich hosts the V8 Supercars Ipswich 300, the Winternationals - Australia’s biggest drag racing event, the Ipswich Cup – Ipswich’s annual horse racing event and the City of Ipswich Open Golf Championship. The city is home to the FA18 Super Hornets and a large defence and aerospace precinct at RAAF Base Amberley. Multiculturalism plays a prominent part with annual festivals.
Located 40 minutes drives from the Brisbane CBD and 60 minutes drive from the Gold Coast, Ipswich is easily accessible by car, bus or rail.
