Founded in 1910, The University of Queensland (UQ) is one of Australia’s premier universities and is committed to supporting the Brazilian federal government's higher education and research goals.
Science Without Borders (SWB) is a large-scale nationwide scholarship program primarily funded by the Brazilian federal government.
The program aims to enhance international education through the international mobility of graduate students, researchers, post-doctoral encouraging research, innovation and exchange between Brazilian universities and colleges around the world.
The program is a joint effort of the Ministry of Education (MEC) and the Ministry of Science and Technology (MCT) through their respective funding agencies - CAPES and CNPq.
100,000 Brazilian undegraduate and postgraduate students will benefit from the Science Without Borders scholarship program.
Brazilian students particiapting in the SWB scholarship program and interested in studying at The University of Queensland (UQ) will be able to:
- study at UQ for one or two semesters as part of their home institutions' undergraduate degree
- undertake a PhD at UQ
- undertake Post Doctoral studies at UQ
