Students who do not expect to achieve 4 semesters of Sound Achievement in (Queensland Studies) Authority English (or interstate equivalent) are advised to take an IELTS test and organise for official IELTS results to be sent to IAS at UQ. Alternatively, students may sit a TOEFL test and organise for UQ to receive an original copy of an official TOEFL score report.

November School ends for Year 12 students. Students returning to their home country should update QTAC with their new mailing addresses using the Current Applicant online service
December

Mid-December:

  • Senior Certificates and Tertiary Entrance Statements (OPs) are mailed to students by the Queensland Studies Authority (QSA).
  • QTAC downloads students results to UQ electronically.
  • From 12th December 2008 onwards, send any change of mailing address or UQ preferences directly to UQ via email yr12international@uq.edu.au, quoting your full name, date of birth and QTAC application number or UQ student ID if known.
  • UQ assesses international student applications for admission to UQ. If you are eligible for one of your UQ preferences you will be emailed a letter of offer in late December.

Please note we cannot assess your application until your final results have been received.

If you receive an unconditional offer it means you have satisfied all the entry requirements for your program and you are ready to accept your offer.

If you receive a conditional offer it means you must still satisfy one or more of the entry requirements for your program. The requirements will be listed clearly on your offer letter. Once you have satisfied the listed conditions, you will be ready to accept your offer.

Note: Offers will be made in January for applicants if their results are released in late December or early January

To accept an offer, students must complete, sign and return to IAS the forms sent out with the letter of offer including:

  • Agreement and Response to Offer (ARO),
  • International Student Application for Undergraduate Studies,
  • Payment of Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) and
