The Career Advantage PhD Program provides innovative training activities and career development opportunities for PhD students by offering candidates additional experience and knowledge across three career paths: 

• Higher Education Practice & Leadership
• Research Innovation, Translation and Commercialisation
• Global Collaborations. 

This program is unique in the current Australian market and students who participate in the Career Advantage PhD Program will accelerate their career development, benefit from cross-disciplinary dialogue and collaboration, and enhance their employability. 

The UQ Advantage Award program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to realise their aspirations and enhance their research, leadership and cultural communication skills to ensure they are competitive in the employment market.

The program combines a range of co-curricular activities across three categories:

• Global and Cultural Engagement
• Research and Entrepreneurship
• Social Responsibility and Leadership

The UQ Summer Research Program provides you with an opportunity to gain research experience working alongside some of the university’s leading academics and researchers. By participating, you’ll be able to extend your knowledge of an area of interest and develop your analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.

Scholarships are available for UQ and non-UQ students. 

UQ students may be eligible for a $300 weekly stipend for the duration of their research.

Non-UQ students may be eligible for a $1000 one-off payment to subsidise travel and accommodation expenses.
