Any of the following tests and scores fulfil the English language proficiency requirements for entry to most UQ programs.

Australia (Queensland Year 12) Four semesters of Sound Achievement in Queensland Studies in Authority English or interstate equivalent.
International Baccalaureate Diploma A grade of 4 or better in English A (if English is first language) or English B (if English is second language) within five years of the program commencement date.
University of Cambridge English Language Proficiency exams A grade of C or above in the Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) within two years of the program commencement date; or a grade of A in the Certificate of Advanced English (CAE), within two years of the program commencement date.
Fiji, Tonga and Western Samoa A score of 50 percent in English in the Fiji Form 7 examination, within two years of the program commencement date.
New Zealand A score of 2.0 or SA in English in the New Zealand NCEA level 3.
Papua New Guinea Completion of all formal PNG education.
Hong Kong A score of C or better in the English Language (Syllabus B) in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) within two years of the program commencement date; or a grade of C or better in the Use of English Paper in the Hong Kong Certificate of Advanced Level Examinations (HKCALE), within two years of the program commencement date.
Malaysia and Brunei A score of C or better in the Cambridge General Certificate of Education Advanced Subsidiary (AS) General Paper/General Studies subject obtained within two years of the program commencement date; or a grade of C or better in the GCE Ordinary (O) level English Language subject obtained within two years of the program commencement date; or a GCE-O level moderated result of 3B or better for the SPM subject Bahasa Inggeris obtained within two years of the program commencement date.
Singapore A score of C or better in the General Paper in the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) within three years of the program commencement date; or a grade of C or better in English Language in the Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) within three years of the program commencement date.
Austria, Czech Republic, Slovak Republic and Germany (exchange and Study Abroad university partners) Certificate in English Proficiency with a minimum grade of satisfactory (3) from the current home university, valid for three years from the date of the test to the program commencement date.
Netherlands A grade of 8 or above on completion of six years of English at High School, within five years of the program commencement date.
Denmark A grade of 9 or better at level B Senior High School English, within five years of the program commencement date.
Finland A grade of 8 or better in English or English A – language within the Upper Secondary School Certificate, valid for five years from the date of the test to the program commencement date.
Norway A grade of 4 in English in the upper secondary school, level 2, within five years of the program commencement date.
Sweden A grade of VG in English in the Senior School Studies, within five years of the program commencement date.
United Kingdom Where English is the first language, a score of C or better in the General Paper in the Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) within three years of the program commencement date; or a grade of C or better in English Language in the Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) within three years of the program commencement date.
India A score of 65 percent or better in English obtained only from the All India Senior School Certificate; or the Indian School Certificate issued by the Indian Central Board of Education; or the State Boards of Gujarat, Maharashtra, West Bengal and Karnataka, within two years of the program commencement date.
Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Zambia  and Zimbabwe Where formal education is conducted in the medium of English, applications will be considered by the Manager, IAS, on a case-by-case basis.
Canada A grade of 60 percent in ENG4U on completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or Canadian Pre-University program (CPU), within two years of the program commencement date.
United States of America Where English is the first language, a pass in English in the High School Diploma.
